Cosplay Contest Fashion Show

Seating starts at 2pm.
Start Time: 2:30
pm. Goes until 3:30pm.
All attendees are welcome to watch!

ABOUT:

The Cosplay Contest Fashion Show portion is the final challenge for all contestants who entered into either the Adult Individual, Adult Group, or Tweens & Kids cosplay contests. The contest will be fashion show style. Contestants will walk across the stage as an emcee introduces them. Contestants are encouraged to be creative during their time on stage. Action poses, working with props, or calling out a character’s catch-phrase, where relevant, will all be viewed favorably. A positive stage-presence will be valued and appreciated by the judges, assuming it does not involve breaking any of the convention rules.

These contestants are walking in the fashion show to snag their final points in the “Maneuverability / functionality” and “Stage presence” sections of the Judging Criteria. It is in the fashion show, that some contestants may pull ahead of the competition, or fall behind. While final scores are decided among the judges, audience members are encouraged to cheer and applaud any and all contestants as they walk across the stage.

SIGN-UPS:

Want to participate? Entrants must be registered online by April 7th at 5pm by a parent or guardian who will be our main point of contact. Click here to Signup!

PRIZES & AWARDS:

After all contestants have walked in the fashion show, the judges will quickly deliberate to calculate final scores. The final winning scores in each contest will be given over to the emcee who will announce the winners one at a time to come up for their prizes and awards. Each winner will be photographed with their award.

Raffle Drawings

Time: 3:30-4pm
Category: Closing Ceremony

Join the organizers of Cecil Con for the end of day Raffle Drawings. Winning tickets for each raffle item will be drawn and announced live and on the spot in front the audience. If the winner for an item is present we will hand the prize over immediately. If a ticket is drawn and the winner is not present, we will draw another ticket until we reach a winner that is present. We have very good reasons for doing this, chief among them being that last year it took up to several weeks of storing the items and periodically calling the winners to arrange for a pick up time of their item. We hope you understand.

Raffle items are supplied by our fabulous artists, authors, vendors, special guests, panelists, workshop instructors, and sponsors. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to win something unique from your day at Cecil Con.
